It saddens us deeply at times,
When a love one dies unexpectedly.
It catches us off-guard,
And shows us the fraility of what we call life.
When we watch our love one
Suffer from a terminal illness,
We can not help but suffer with them.
We wish that their pain would subside
But we know that each day it has worsen.
There comes a point when we wish that they would die,
So they would no longer suffer and be at peace.
Death isn't something to be afraid of
Since it is apart of our lifecycle,
As we are mere mortals.
When death strikes,
It makes us realize that our time might be sooner than we thought.
That we must live each day to its fullest
Since we never know when it will be our last.
